Decadent Chocolate Mousse
Ingredients:
- 8 ounces dark chocolate (chopped)
- 1/4 cup unsalted butter
- 4 large eggs (separated)
- 1/4 cup granulated sugar
- 1 teaspoon vanilla extract
- 1 cup heavy cream
Cooking Steps:
- Melt the dark chocolate and butter together in a heatproof bowl over simmering water. Allow it to cool slightly.
- In a separate bowl, whisk together egg yolks, sugar, and vanilla extract. Add this mixture to the melted chocolate and mix well.
- In another bowl, beat egg whites until stiff peaks form.
- Gently fold the egg whites into the chocolate mixture until no white streaks remain.
